WiTH to Discuss Link Between Transparency, Diversity at May 12 HITS Event

At the May 12 Hollywood Innovation and Transformation Summit (HITS) Spring event, the chairs of the Women in Technology Hollywood’s (WiTH) new Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Belonging Committee will take the stage to discuss how transparency in an organization can result in diverse leadership.

The DEIAB chairs, Ana Achaval, global execution for brand, creative, and media for Intel, iAsia Brown, data and AI specialist with Microsoft, and Gina Cavalier, founder and teacher with The Liberated Healer, will be joined by Lydia Elle, CEO of Supplies For Allies, and Dr. Michael V. Nguyen, founder and chief Innovation and inclusion officer for Inclusive Insights, as they discuss the research showing that companies that make a commitment to diverse leadership better engage and keep top talent, improve clarity in decision-making, and improve customer experiences.

The presentation — “How Transparency Ensures DEI, Accessibility & Belonging in Leadership” — will look at how media and entertainment companies are managing diversity and inclusion during this period of unprecedented cultural movement. Which companies and individuals are setting the bar high and leveraging opportunities for necessary change? The ability to truly understand and trust a company’s actions requires an open-book posture.

HITS Spring is programmed under the guidance of the Content Advisors of the Hollywood IT Society, and is produced by the Media & Entertainment Services Alliance (MESA) and the Hollywood IT Society (HITS), in association with the Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA) and the Smart Content Council.
