MESA Member Webinar Week Ahead: Sept. 4-8

SecureTheVillage brings together L.A.’s top cybersecurity minds, Eluvio, Signiant and Verimatrix tease their IBC offerings, and CHESA and Adobe team up to discuss the best ways of integrating your video workflows.

Those are just a few of the events from the MESA community the week of Sept. 4-8, according to MESA’s global member e-calendar.

Here’s a look at what’s ahead:

Tuesday:

• SecureTheVillage’s L.A. Cybersecurity Workforce Coalition will gather to discuss ways to meet the workforce development challenge around cybersecurity today. The L.A. Cybersecurity Workforce Coalition is for employers, educators, government, nonprofits, and others with a professional interest in the cybersecurity workforce challenge. While focused on the greater L.A. area, including L.A. County, Orange County, and nearby communities, the coalition includes others with a professional interest in the cybersecurity workforce.

Thursday:

• MicroStrategy hosts a user group meeting for its Asia Pacific customers. Attendees will hear about the latest updates to MicroStrategy, including the game-changing Generative AI. Be the first to know about our conversational AI features and other exciting product announcements. Meet other data professionals and get an insider’s peek into where the industry is headed. Also, hear from special guest Flash Coffee. The coffee chain has been using data to stay ahead in a highly competitive market. They will be sharing their valuable insights at the webinar and how you can leverage data analytics to win.

• SAP hosts “Managing Risk, Priorities and Talent with Strategic and Digitalized Category Management at the Core.” A recent Economist Impact report highlights the increased impact as it found that 32 percent of CPOs want strategy identification to be improved by technology for category management. It is clear then, that while formerly viewed as just a sourcing process or administrative function, category management is becoming a strategic way for companies to prepare their organisations for an uncertain future, open up new channels of supply and adopt differing approaches. In this session, senior procurement leaders from Procurement Leaders and SAP will explore three common mistakes (or misconceptions) procurement makes in category management and how best to remedy them.

• Signiant, Eluvio and Verimatrix will all offer a look at what’s coming up at IBC in the webinar “IBC Innovations Preview – Sizzling Streaming Solutions.” With the deluge of IBC press releases, sometimes it’s hard to hear the signal through the noise. How do you separate the hottest new tech innovations you can’t afford to miss from the warmed-over retreads not worth your time? Streaming Media’s IBC Innovations Preview will highlight the cutting-edge solutions, topics, and trends everyone will be talking about in Amsterdam. But you’ll hear about them here first, with critical insights and exclusive advance previews from experts and thought leaders who will go beyond the buzz and tell you what you really need to know.

• Wasabi hosts “Maximizing Video Surveillance Solutions with Hybrid Cloud Storage.” Organisations are eager to embrace solutions that simplify integration of complementary technologies while ensuring security, scalability, and affordability; this demand is what drives innovation among industry leaders like Hanwha Vision and Wasabi Technologies. Join to learn about the benefits of bringing together new and existing surveillance solutions with a powerful pairing of technologies.

• Representatives from CHESA, Adobe and more gather together to present “Integration Accelerates Video Workflow.” Integration of the best tools is the key to working faster! See a live demonstration of Helmut4 and Frame.io working together to accelerate your production and post-production team’s workflow.

• Key Code Media presents “Security for Media Facilities.” Managing security systems might not have been your area of expertise, but in today’s media landscape, it’s an indispensable aspect of any facility dealing with valuable content. Are you prepared to tackle the challenge of establishing robust content and physical security systems to ensure the protection of your assets? The world of media and entertainment is evolving to establish a unified set of security requirements and best practices for various aspects of content production and distribution. From film and television to animation, post-production, visual effects, and more, the goal is to cultivate a secure environment across the entire supply chain, effectively shielding valuable content from leaks, piracy, and unauthorised access.

• Perforce presents “How Rogue Sun Accelerates Agile Game Development with Hansoft.” Rogue Sun, the indie game studio founded in 2016 by some of the developers of the Fable series, prides themselves for crafting “artisanal interactive entertainment.” Their latest multi-platform release, Tin Hearts, is just that — an elaborate puzzle adventure that is being praised for its heartfelt story and immersive worldbuilding. To focus on innovation and creativity while building a game on a tight timeline, Rogue Sun uses Hansoft — the project management tool designed for game developers and built with Agile at its core.
