Those are just a few of the events from the MESA community the week of Sept. 11-17, according to MESA’s global member e-calendar.

Here’s a look at what’s ahead:

Monday:

• Shift hosts “MediaSilo x MASV: Collaborate with Everyone – Faster.” Quickly migrate all of your content to MediaSilo with MASV. MASV enables accelerated uploads without compressing or splitting files, allowing collaborators to upload to MediaSilo without needing access to your secure workspaces.

Tuesday:

• “Expand Your Network, from Virtual to Reality!” will be co-hosted by Innovate@UCLA Women in Technology (WIT) and Women In Technology Hollywood (WiTH). This workshop will give you the opportunity to develop your elevator speech/network pitch and then try it out with someone new and get immediate feedback. In November, you’ll have the chance to meet your new virtual connections in person at the SoCal Women’s Leadership event.

• Wasabi hosts “Avoid Costly Errors in the Cloud with the Next Generation of Compute & Storage.” Any cost outside your initial cloud bill estimates, complicated to calculate, and hard to predict falls under the category of an unexpected cost. As frustration with cloud costs grow, organisations are actively moving to multi-cloud architectures built on next generation cloud service providers who do not charge for data operations, transfer, and egress. Rather than being locked into one hyperscaler’s vertical cloud, organisations want to pick and choose their storage vendor, their compute vendor, their content delivery network partners, and so forth. Learn how cloud storage from Wasabi Technologies and compute services from Sushi Cloud are the perfect place to start implementing a multi-cloud strategy with no “hidden charges.”

• Fortinet presents “How to Protect Your Data Center and Your Bottom Line: Expert Roundtable.” Hear from the experts as they discuss the potential financial benefits, security risk reduction, and ROI enterprises may realize by deploying the Fortinet Data Center Firewall and Services solution. Explore the overall data centre security market trends and challenges, customer journeys, and key independent research results from a recent study.

Wednesday:

• Zendesk hosts “Transforming Customer Service: The Impact of AI.” Customer service is the bedrock of solid business operations, and an area where technology can play an important role. Companies have used clunky, automated systems for years, it has frustrated consumers who have come to expect immediate, personal responses. Customer service drives over two-thirds of customer loyalty, outperforming brand and price combined, according to a study by Gartner. Major advances in AI and personalisation promise to improve customer service departments. AI may enable businesses to automate processes, alleviate pressure on agents, gain insights from data and improve interactions. However, AI can also lead to a lack of personal connection and concerns about data privacy, security and job displacement.

• Adobe hosts “Top 5 Ways to Work with PDF Using Acrobat.” Today’s distributed teams need powerful, flexible tools that can do the heavy lifting of their daily document and e-signature workflows — and give them back time to focus on high-value work. Join this webinar and learn how to compress PDF workflow time, heighten efficiency, and empower hybrid collaboration for every team across your organisation. A digital document workflow expert will show how Adobe Acrobat can help.

Thursday:

• Wasabi offers up “Crafting Your Disaster Recovery Solution with Wasabi and Opti9.” With the rapid increase ransomware attacks, backing up your data is simply not enough. Avoid wasting unnecessary time, money, and energy by thinking ahead and protecting your business with a disaster recovery solution. In this engaging and informative session, experts will delve into the importance of disaster recovery and how DR-Ready from Opti9, combined with Wasabi and Veeam, creates a full disaster recovery solution to ensure that IT workloads can be recovered cost-effectively, regardless of the scale or complexity of their infrastructure.
