Women in Technology Hollywood Honored by STEM Advantage

Women in Technology Hollywood (WiTH) was honored Sept. 9 with an award during the 11th Annual STEM Advantage Scholarship Gala, held at the Sony Pictures Studios lot.

STEM Advantage, the nonprofit organization providing science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) career opportunities to California State University students, also honored Sony Pictures Entertainment during the fundraising gala.

“We appreciate all that you’ve done as individuals and leaders in your organizations and as part of the broader community to inspire and support our scholars,” STEM Advantage said in a statement before the event, which included catering by Wolfgang Puck, networking, and Frank Mottek from “Mottek on Money” as the emcee.

The event was sponsored by Farmers Insurance, Reddit, SIM Southern California, TheTradeDesk, ADP, Laserfiche, Respawn Entertainment, Software One, Sony Pictures, Watson, Deloitte, Enterprise, Internet Brands, KPMG, Hermosa Friends Foundation, Point B, Shawmut, Workshop Creative, and Aerospace.

Every year WiTH raises tens of thousands for charities, organizations including STEM Advantage that reflect the values of WiTH: diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility and belonging.
