MESA Member Webinar Week Ahead: April 8-13

The industry heads to Las Vegas for the NAB Show, the security industry gathers for the Content Protection Summit, and Veritone, Wasabi and Spherex all hold industry discussions.

Here’s what the MESA community has planned the week of April 8-13, according to MESA’s global member e-calendar.

Monday:

• Wasabi presents “Avoiding the Headlines: Data Breach Post-Mortem and Future-Proofing Your Defense.” Data breaches are no longer “if” but “when.” Join Wasabi and a seasoned security expert with extensive experience at industry giants for a 30-minute webinar that goes beyond the shock value of headlines. They’ll pull back the curtain on real-world attacks, analyzing critical vulnerabilities exploited, uncovering valuable lessons learned, and equipping you with actionable strategies to future-proof your defenses.

Wednesday:

• Fortinet hosts “Achieve Enterprise-Grade Security for Your Small or Mid-size Business Webinar.” Many small and mid-size businesses, or SMBs, struggle to implement strong, holistic security across their business and too often rely on piecemeal security from multiple vendors, which leaves them exposed to risk. However, even with limited budgets and resources, SMBs can get the complete protection they need without having to sacrifice functionality critical to growth or performance. Good investment decisions in the right security tools now will set the stage for the future and ensure all business needs are met at every stage of growth.

Thursday:

• Veritone presents “Using AI to Solve Broadcast Media’s Measurement Issue.” Join this exclusive debrief where industry veterans Paul Cramer and Stephanie Callihan explore the role of AI in solving broadcast media’s measurement issues, thereby increasing share of ad-spend while reducing advertiser churn. This session will offer a closer look at the critical issues facing broadcast salespeople and delve into how broadcast advertising is reaffirming its timeless influence and relevance as the original influencers of our time, with intelligent technologies that watch, listen, and count brand exposures and audience response within radio and TV programming. During this webinar, you’ll learn how AI is being used to demonstrate proof of performance and measure ad lift to unlock increased revenue opportunities for broadcast media.

• Spherex takes part in “Entertainment Globalization Association’s Con-Lo-Con M&E Localization in 2030 Panel.” Key industry professionals will explore the changes within the localization landscape and the influencing factors that will drive change over the next five years.

Saturday:

• The NAB Show kicks off in Las Vegas, with more than 50 MESA members exhibiting. At the Las Vegas Convention Center, MESA hosts the Content Protection Summit, Attendees of the CPS event will hear from experts on crucial M&E security topics surrounding protecting against insider threats, standards for locking out live event piracy, the importance of risk management assessments, and best practices for production crew identity and onboarding/offboarding. And the increasingly impactful role of AI on security will be front and center, as the industry grapples with its benefits and consequences. CPS is presented by Fortinet, with sponsorship by AMD, Convergent, Digital Silence, NAGRA, Prime Focus Technologies, Eluv.io and EIDR, in association with the NAB Show. The event is produced by MESA and the Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA).
