She’s Not Heavy, She’s My Sister: Embracing Diverse Leadership
You would think that women who succeed in male-dominated fields manage and lead differently while aiming to help other women within their organization. Not necessarily so. Recent studies find that many female executives often unfairly favor men in their organizations and operations. The difference comes down to the women executive’s ‘gender identification.’ In today’s diverse workplace how do we nurture a successful team around likeability, inclusion and consensus while educating ourselves around the new meaning of ‘bossy,’ ‘self-promotion’ and ‘believe in yourself?’ In this WiTH Leadership Luncheon presentation, USC Marshall School of Business Professor Trudi Ferguson will explain the important dynamics of gender identification in the studio workplace and how women executives can bridge the confidence gap to truly make a difference for other women in their field, company and industry.
Trudi Ferguson, Professor, University of Southern California Marshall School of Business Management and Organization
