The Best Career Advice I Ever Received Was…

There is no shortage of career advice for women executives. Magazines from Forbes to Cosmopolitan all feature regular articles about the subject with often familiar career development suggestions. But how does one filter through what actually works and what doesn’t? And, specifically, what are the most effective career development recommendations for a woman who has not only selected a career in the male-dominated field of technology but who has done so in an industry that tells stories that either build or bust the stereotypes for women in the workplace?

The WiTH Luncheon is proud to feature a panel discussion of senior-level women entertainment executives who will help cut through the self-help clutter and identify the advice that actually helped them achieve success in their field. Moderated by Sony Pictures Entertainment’s and WiTH co-founders Nadya Ichinomiya, Director, IT, Television and Rachel Souder-Arguedas, Project Manager, IT, Home Entertainment, confirmed participants include:

  • Jeanne Amano, Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Zaszou
  • Galina Cherny, Vice President, IT – Film, NBCUniversal
  • Terri Davies, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Product Fulfillment, Sony Pictures
  • Denise Evans, Vice President, IT, Miramax
  • Alex Grimwade, Senior Vice President, Television Production IT, Twentieth Century Fox Television
  • Janae Lee, Senior Vice President, Strategy, Quantum

Produced in cooperation with the Hollywood IT Society, the first Women in Technology: Hollywood (WiTH) Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, July 16th at the Luxe Sunset Blvd. Hotel.
